18. May 2010 - Premiere of EnEff:Wärme at the Berliner Energietage conference

On the 10th of May, for the first time ever, the research initiative EnEff:Wärme was comprehensively presented as part of the conference Berliner Energietage 2010. Under the patronage of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi), over 100 participants witnessed discussions of concepts and new perspectives for energy-efficient use of district heating and local heating.

14. Jan 2010 - New pilot project "Weingarten 2020" begins

The model energy-oriented refurbishment of the 1960s residential neighbourhood in Weingarten, Freiburg, goes far beyond the standard measures. It aims to reduce the overall primary energy consumption by 30% and to demonstrate the way to achieve a climate-neutral energy supply. In the competition "Energy-Oriented Refurbishment of Large Apartment Complexes" organised by the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development, this project was awarded one of the ten silver medals.

29. Oct 2009 - LowEx research conference in Kassel

Today marked the end of the two-day symposium on low-exergy systems. Select concepts, methods and projects from LowEx research were introduced at the event. Innovative products which are based on the development work of individual industrial partners and which are now available on the market, also played an important part. The future key areas of LowEx research were also discussed at this conference.

05. May 2009 - Research and practice search for paths to energy-efficient cities

Today, the EnEff:Stadt research initiative presented ideas and model projects based on research as part of the Berlin Energy Conference. Under the patronage of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, over 150 participants sought concepts and outlooks for the cities of the future.

27. Apr 2009 - eneff-stadt.info website goes live!

The new online home and communication platform for the Energy-Efficient City opened for visitors today. It focuses on the EnEff:Stadt research initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. It shows how the energy efficiency in communities can be improved significantly via intelligent use and networking of innovative technologies with research and pilot projects.
