More details
The “100% Renewable Energy Regions” congress is being held for the third time in September 2011. 750 delegates from local authorities, business and science are expected.
The congress is being organised by the Kompetenznetzwerk Dezentrale Energietechnologien (Expertise Network for Decentralised Energy Technologies – deENet) in cooperation with the German Renewable Energies Agency (AEE), the Deutscher Städte- und Gemeindebund (German Association of Towns and Municipalities) and the Deutscher Landkreistag (German County Association).
The two-day event offers diverse platforms for sharing personal experience in forums, excursions and evening events.
The conference’s relevance to practice will be demonstrated through the presentation of the research results from the “100% Renewable Energy Regions” project. In addition there is the so-called “Market of Possibilities” company exhibition and the "100ee-Meile" (100 renewable energy miles) poster exhibition presented by the local authorities and regions. The “Renewables underway” exhibition in the outdoor area offers manufacturers and dealers of electric vehicles extensive opportunities for presenting their products, including test drives.
The following forums are being offered:
• Municipal and regional utility companies: Shapers and winners of the decentralised energy revolution
• Wind energy for municipalities: Potential, value added effects and options for action
• Training at the local level: Activating potential for schools, specialist trades and industry
• Municipal infrastructures: Load management, storage systems and networks
• Efficient heating and cooling provision: Energy cascades from nature and processes
• Planning practice for municipalities and regions: Scope for action and realisation
• Citizen wind farms, cooperative biogas plants and solar energy systems: The advantages of different organisational forms
