14-15 January 2014 - Advance notice: EnEff:Stadt Conference 2014

The first EnEff:Stadt Conference in January 2012 in the Old Main Customs Office (Altes Hauptzollamt) in Hamburg offered the around 300 participants a mixture of policy discussions, the latest practice-related findings from the ongoing EnEff:Stadt and EnEff:Wärme research projects as well as visionary ideas. The second EnEff:Stadt Conference is already on the horizon. It will take place on 14 and 15 January 2014 at the conference centre belonging to the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) in Berlin and, in addition to the latest project experiences, it will present analyses on central themes and issues relating to BMWi’s research initiatives.

15-17 October 2013 - IBA Conference on the "Renewable Wilhelmsburg Climate Protection Concept"

After six years of the "Renewable Wilhelmsburg" climate protection concept as part of IBA Hamburg 2013, the conference will take stock and critically compare what has been achieved with the formulated goals and with other national and international projects. Based on the initial intermediate results from the "EnEff:Stadt - IBA Hamburg“ research project, workshops will be used for analysing the strengths and weaknesses of the individual projects and for discussing the further development of strategic activity fields for the climate protection concept.

3 October 2012 - IEA ECBCS Annex 51 Experts workshop "Energy Efficient Communities - Technological Strategies and Implementation Instruments"

At this workshop the state-of-the-art of research on energy efficient communities will be highlighted, energy strategies for communities, tools for urban planning and key issues for successful implementation will be presented. The aim of the workshop is to raise and discuss future perspectives of “energy efficient communities” from technological, planning and political view with international experts.

16-17 April 2012 - BMWi-status seminar "Decentralised energy systems"

As part of the 20th "Energy Efficiency 2012" trade fair and AGFW lecture symposium, a status seminar entitled "Decentralised energy systems" is being held on 16 and 17 April in cooperation with Project Management Jülich and the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. The focus of the seminar will be on energy efficiency and district heating.

26-28 March 2012 - Symposium on "Integral planning and simulations in construction physics and building services technology"

The Institute of Building Climatology (IBK) is organising a symposium on "Simulations in construction physics and building services technology". The three-day event is aimed at experienced and potential users of simulation tools as well as the developers of such tools. The symposium begins with a lecture series followed by parallel workshops on the subjects "component simulations", "room simulations", "building simulations" and "simulation coupling and co-simulations". A forum will then be held for the developers of simulation tools in which current standards and trends in the various software development platforms will be discussed.
