The conference organised by Berlin Urban Development Institute, in cooperation with Project Management Jülich, BINE Information Services and the German Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR) in the BBR offers an up-to-date overview of framework conditions, new requirements and tasks for climate protection in cities and communities. The findings from new research programmes such as "Energy-efficient city" and from model projects on low energy urban renewal and innovative building refurbishment are to be incorporated in community planning practice.
